STARS ("we", "our", "the app") is a platform for discovering events, going live, and connecting with creators. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using STARS you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — email, username, password (stored encrypted), and optionally a bio, profile photo, cover photo and social links you add.
• Content you create — posts, events, stories, comments, and the photos/videos you upload.
• Activity — bookings, likes, follows, views, and notifications, so the app works and shows relevant content.
• Technical data — basic device/connection info and IP address, used for security and to keep the service reliable.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the core features — accounts, events, bookings, live streaming, comments and notifications.
• To keep the platform safe (preventing abuse, spam and fraud).
• To improve the app and understand what content is popular.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Camera, microphone & photos

With your permission, STARS uses your camera and microphone to let you go live and create stories, and your photo library to share posts and set your profile picture. These are only accessed when you choose to use those features. You can revoke access anytime in your device settings.

When paid tickets and mobile-money/card payments are enabled, payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

6. Your rights & choices

• Access & edit — you can view and update your profile in the app.
• Delete your account — Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your account and content.
• Permissions — you control camera, microphone, photo and notification access in your device settings.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Stories are ephemeral and expire after 24 hours. When you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed.

STARS is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
